Rejoicing always is not easy to do. With the uncertain times we live in, with the world and the media presenting us with the fear of losing everything; when you look around and there seems to be trouble on every side, not only in the world, but in the life of the believer as well, to be in a constant state of rejoicing seems to be impossible. In fact, it is impossible without the Lord being resident and evident in your life. However, as a believer, as long as God is still on the throne, and I believe He is, it is possible to live in a state of rejoicing. As Christians do we experience pain? Of course we do, but we don’t allow the pain to dominate us such that we can’t rejoice in the Lord in the midst of pain. The Apostle Paul said “Rejoice in the Lord always again I say rejoice” (Phil 4:4). Thus, those who are in the Lord have the capability to rejoice continually, in fact when you look at the prefix “re” in rejoice it means to do again or go back to the original state. Whenever we “re” something we back up; therefore everyday you have to re-joy, you have to re-new your joy again. The joy you had on Sunday won’t be good enough for Monday. Thus, (Psalms 118:24) says “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it”. Everyday child of God we have to arise with a new joy, a joy for today’s date, and because Gods mercies are new every morning, He is ready to release your new joy for today. Therefore as you arise from your sleep, don’t forget to ask the Lord for your dose of joy for today because the only reason you don’t have it is because you didn’t ask, and the bible says “you have not because you ask not” (James 4:2).
God Bless You!
