(St. Mark 13:5) “Take heed lest any man deceive you:”
During this particular time in the life of Jesus, he was preparing the disciples for what would happen during the last days. However, he knew that men were going to challenge-debate and even deny his end time prophecy. Therefore, he said “Take heed lest any man deceive you”; because men/women will deceive you. They would deceive you into believing that you are your own God, you make your own way, and if you don’t take care of yourself God certainly won’t; they would deceive you into believing that Jesus was a great prophet, however, he was not God; they would have you to believe there is no God, in fact, “The fool hath said in his heart there is no God” (Psalm 14:1); thus, they are deceivers. One of the questions I have been asked, especially among teenagers, is how do you know there is a God? Can you see him? I tell them “no I can’t see him with my natural eye, however, I can’t see bad breath either, but we all know it exist. We can’t see various types of bacteria, however, we know it exist; we can’t see the AIDS virus, but we know it kills people everyday. Listen saints don’t let people play tricks on you when it comes to the God you serve, because there are a lot of things we can’t see with the natural eye, however, it doesn’t mean it don’t exist. People say “I can’t believe that a loving God would send me to hell, thus hell can’t be real”. First of all God will never send you to hell because you go there by choice. God gives us all a choice on where we choose to spend eternity. Finally, I’m not going to wait until I die to find out whether or not hell is real, because I’m going to live my life as unto the Lord, so I won’t have to take that option just in case it is. At the end of the day it’s all about what you believe. However, there are men/women out there waiting to deceive you; be careful.
God Bless You.
