Identity Crisis

I think knowing who you are and who you identify yourself with is one of the most important aspects of the Christian life. Who you are in your own mind determines your destiny, it determines your fate, and your actions. Too many Christians identify themselves with Adam, whose sad story in Genesis 1-4 shows him falling into sin and being put out of the garden, away from the presence of God. We see ourselves banished from the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. We feel as if we have messed up, and given up paradise forever. Furthermore, we seem to repeat some of the same sinful mistakes over and over again. However, those Christians who have trusted in the last Adam (Jesus Christ), are no longer identified with the first Adam and his sin, but with Jesus and His righteousness. We are not locked outside of God’s presence as Adam was in Eden; but we are seated even now in heavenly places with Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:6). It’s important that you know which Adam you identify with. Because the first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit. You are a part of the quickening spirit generation, which speaks life into your very being.Know who you are, and don’t allow the Devil to steal your identity, because the fastest growing crime in America today is identity theft; and this type of theft is worse than the ID theft that the world talks about- this theft can destroy your life on earth and send you to hell. Be blessed, and KNOW YOUR IDENTITY.

                          God Bless You.
