Because we have no righteousness of our own, righteousness before God is given to us by the Father when we believe God and when our belief manifest itself through obedience. Abraham our father of faith proved this to us in (Gen 15:6), for it says “And he believed in the Lord and he counted it to him for righteousness. This is why I prefer Christianity, because with God there aren’t a lot of gray area’s in His word; hence, the Lord doesn’t make it hard for you to understand how to live holy. As Christians we must understand that we can’t buy righteousness (a right relationship with God); we can’t earn or work our way into righteousness; we can’t get it through our pastors-deacons-church mothers or any other leader; it is given to us by God when we believe. The Apostle Paul clears this righteousness issue up with the Roman Church when he says in (Rom 3:22) “Even the righteousness of God which is by the faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” Hence the righteousness of God is not reserved for a certain economic class, or a certain race of people but to all that believe, because our God is not a respecter of persons.
God Bless You.
