You can’t have a meeting with God and not be changed. Anyone who has a real encounter with God will never be the same. The change in you after the encounter will be evident. The bible proves this to us in the lives of various men and women. Jacob had a close encounter with God, and came away with a limp and a new name; the name Israel (Gen 32:25-30). Isaiah had a close encounter with God and said “Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of people of unclean lips: For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of host (Isa 6:5).” Hence, he found out that after looking in the face of God he (Isaiah) wasn’t so clean after all. Then there is the woman at the well, after the Lord finished ministering to her she said “Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ (ST.John 4:29)?” Thus, she couldn’t keep him to herself; she went and told everyone “I’ve been with the Lord!” These are only a few examples of those in the scriptures who have had such encounters. However, we need to have those encounters today. Child of God people can tell when you’ve been with the Lord; your attitude changes, your speech and thought life changes; even the way you look to some degree can change. However, people of God it takes seeking, searching and running hard after God to experience this type of encounter. These types of encounters with God don’t happen by chance, but when we set aside the time, rid ourselves of the mind wondering during our times with God, and focus on him alone it is possible.
God Bless You
