The Blessings Of Abraham-Part 6

In (Genesis 12:3) the Lord continues to talk to us about the blessings Of Abraham.  Thus, the fifth and sixth blessing he promised to Abraham was “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee.”  Thus, those who would bless God’s man/woman shall be blessed.  Conversely, those who would curse (speak evil of or intentionally do them harm) will be cursed.  When we do what’s right by God’s servants; when we sow into their lives through various acts of kindness the Lord will reward us as well.  In fact, anyone who would bless God’s servants will be blessed, whether they are saved or unsaved, because God is bound by His word.  Thus as Abraham’s seed we are blessed, but we also have an obligation to be a blessing.  God didn’t bless us so we could consistently bless ourselves; he blessed us to be a blessing.  Furthermore, if we are to stay away from the cursed life it is imperative that we (as believers) obey God always and stop bad mouthing those in the body of Christ.   It’s not up to us to deal with those who would curse us, it’s up to God; He will deal with those that would speak evil of us.  In fact, (Romans 12:19) says “Vengeance is mine; I will repay saith the Lord”.  Thus, at the end of the day if we desire to live the blessed life let’s do as Jesus said in (Matt 7:12) “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

                                    God Bless You
