The Blessings Of Abraham-Part 7

The final blessing the Lord promised to Abraham was “and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”  Thus, we know that those who are believers as faithful Abraham was are seeds of Abraham; hence, we are blessed.  However, as believers in Christ Jesus we may not have the ability to bless all families of the earth, but we do have the ability to bless the families in which we associate ourselves with; beginning with our own.  As believers we must first learn to be a blessing in our own household, if we are to bless others.  (1Tim 5:8KJV) says “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.”  Thus, let love, life and blessing begin at home, because if it begins in the Christian home then it has the ability to move from the believers’ life into other homes.  And having the ability to be a blessing in someone else’s home is not always about money.  It’s a blessing to pray for someone and see their household changed; it’s a blessing to see peace, love and prosperity enter a family because of one believer who decided to minister life into a family and that family made a decision to change.  It’s a blessing to be able to give some of our time, energies and efforts to a family in need.  Thus, saints we may not be able to bless all families, but there are those families we know which need a change and we know the man (Jesus) who has the power to make that change. Let us continue to offer Jesus to families all around us, because the church is built on the family.  Take the family aspect out of the church and what you have is absolute chaos.  Furthermore, I’m sure you know of a family right now that’s in desperate need of a Jesus fix.  Don’t be afraid to tell them about Jesus.

                                    God Bless You
