(2nd Tim 4:7) says “I have fought a good fight I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
The second thing Paul shares with us in our quest to obtain heaven is we must “finish our course.” Hence, we must do the work the Lord has called us to. We must do it heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men. We must do the work with all our might. Whatever work God has called us to in ministry must be performed with the finish line in mind. Jesus didn’t go to be with the Father until the work on the cross was finished; neither will God call us home until we have finished our part in his masterful plan here on earth. Too many believers have given up in the middle of the race; too many believers have decided to quit, give up and throw in the towel right in the middle of what God has asked them to do for various reasons. However, the Lord desires for us to cross the finish line; and it’s not how fast you get there that matters; what matters to God is that you get there in His time and His time can be slow sometimes. Whatever you are doing for God I want to encourage you not to quit, don’t back down and don’t give in; because the prize is not given to the swift or the strong but to them that endures to the end.
God Bless You
