He Wouldn’t Come Down

Matt 27:42) “He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the king of Israel, let him come down from the cross, and we will believe him.”

When Jesus was born of a woman and of the Holy Ghost, he came, lived and died for us.  He knew before he was wrapped in a womb of flesh that his main focus was to redeem man, and it would only come through the blood of Jesus.  Thus, when he finally went to the cross his mind was already made up to go all the way for humanity; would that men would have the same attitude about Jesus.  As Jesus was on that cross he was mocked, challenged and even encouraged to come down off that cross, however, he wouldn’t come down.  Could he have come down?  Sure he could.  Could he have called legions of angels to deliver him?  Yes.  However, he loved humanity so much that he wouldn’t come down.  The truth is that nobody will ever love you like Jesus does.  He came and died for us; he took the nails for us; he went to hell for us, and prevailed for us, that we might become the righteousness of God.  At the end of the day, he became us that we might become him.  Child of God it is finished, it’s up to us now to walk in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

                                    God Bless You.
