The seventh and final piece of armor the Lord gives us for victory in the earth is prayer. Apostle Paul says “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Eph 6:18);” thus, prayer is the icing on the cake as it pertains to the armor of God. It’s the egg in the batter if you will. It makes all the armor work more efficiently. You see, what good is it to have knowledge of the word, if you are not willing to speak it out with authority! What good is it to have knowledge of the word if you are not willing to say it back to God in prayer! Child of God, prayer is one of the most important components of the Christian life. Prayer can break strongholds, move spiritual mountains, and bring about deliverance and healing. Prayer was so important to Jesus that He said “Whatsoever things you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them (St. Mark 11:24).” Prayer is not only communication with God; it also expresses our human dependency upon God. It let’s God know that we are not running our lives ourselves, neither are we self sufficient but our sufficiency is in him. If you haven’t tried prayer in a while give it another shot. In fact, put it in your schedule because if you don’t, you won’t pray.
God Bless You
