(Isa 59:19) “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”
First of all when you think of a flood you think of power, destruction or overtaking everything in its path. Thus, in this text what the Lord was trying to tell us is that the enemy is a powerful foe; he is nothing to be played with, and if you are going to stand against him you better be full of the Spirit of God. When he shows up in our lives he often brings a flood of issues with him. However, though he is powerful he is not all powerful, all power belongs to God and because we are His children we have access to that power. Thus, as men and women of standard when the enemy comes in like a flood the standard that God is going to present the enemy with is us. The question is are we ready? God uses his people to come against the works of the devil! Hence, if we want to see our communities change we must be the standard to bring about that change; if our young people want to see their schools change they must be the standard to bring about that change; if we want to see our homes changed we must be the standard to bring about that change. If we want the City of Medicine become the City of our God we must be the standard to bring about that change. It’s not so much what we are able to do that matters; it’s about what the Spirit of the Lord is able to do through us that matters. Thus, saints are you ready to see change come forth? Then you be the change through Christ Jesus, don’t wait on the next president or politician to bring about change because what they often bring is more of the same. The fact of the matter is change comes when we infuse God into the situation; otherwise it’s just more of the same which is more of the Devil.
God Bless You
