Luke 4:13, “And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.”
Even after the Devil lost his battle with Jesus in the wilderness temptation he only gave up for a season, (meaning that he would be back). He was not convinced that he couldn’t get Jesus to fall; he was not convinced that Jesus was as strong as he seemed. In fact, he was not convinced that just because he lost this battle, that he wouldn’t win the next one. And if he didn’t give up on Jesus in his quest to get him to fall, he will never give up on us either. We can never let our guard down when it comes to dealing with our enemy. The Devil is relentless in his pursuit to get us a recliner in hell. Furthermore it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been saved, or how much word you know, or how great of a title you have, or how many tongues you can speak in, or even how well you can sing. In fact, it doesn’t even matter who your pastor is or how much power or popularity he/she has. The fact is we can never get to a place where we believe that we can’t fall or that our leaders can’t fall because the moment we get to thinking that way, we’ve already fallen, and we just haven’t realized it yet, because we fight an enemy that is relentless.
God Bless You
