Regardless of who we are or how powerful we are in the Lord, fear seems to come upon us all at some point in time. There are situations and circumstances which come upon us at times when we don’t know what to do and the first or natural reaction is to fear. I know God has not given us the spirit of fear; however, fear still has a place in our lives. King David who was one of the mightiest men of God in the scriptures shows us how to handle fear when he says “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me (Psalms 56:3-4).” Thus, David let’s us know if we want to take authority over fear we need to trust God and believe in the promises of God which are revealed through his word. Saints of God, the strongest Christian may have a moment of fear; however, we don’t have to be overtaken by fear if we would only trust in the promises of God. Saints of God, every generation has faced some difficult times, some times of fear and uncertainty, but God has brought us through them all. Therefore, in challenging times don’t let man dictate how you are going to feel; don’t let the your situation overtake you with fear because when fear shows up rational and spiritual thinking seems to take a backseat to irrational and worldly thought processes which never leads us to a heavenly outcome.
