God’s grace is enough to see us through anything. God’s grace or (His unmerited favor) the favor which we didn’t deserve but the Lord gave it to us anyway is enough to strengthen us in times of adversity and challenge. The grace of God was such a factor in Apostle Paul’s life that Jesus told him “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” As a result of that statement from the Lord Paul was then able to say “Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2nd Cor. 12:9).” Thus, the Lord’s strength doesn’t manifest itself in our strength; the Lord’s strength is manifested the most in our weakness. When we have come to the end of ourselves; when we have come to the realization that we can’t live this life on our own; when we have finally figured out that we need God desperately that’s when the strength of the Lord is most prevalent in our lives. As long as we feel like we can handle it. As long as we feel like we have all things under control; as long as we feel that we are grown up and we just have to do what we have to do then we operate more in our strength than the strength and grace of God. In 2009 we are going to need more of the grace of God and much more of the strength of God. Thus, we too must confess that the Lord’s grace is sufficient for us because in his grace lies his strength.
God Bless You
