We know that the Father seeks those who would worship Him in Spirit and in truth according to (St. John 4:23). Thus, because God has to seek out those among the many who proclaim to be born again believers there must be a shortage of true worshippers in the body of Christ. True worshippers are hard to find because true worship is about the totality of the whole man. Hence, we must not only be hearers of the word but we must be doers also, and for many it’s the doing, the obedience factor that gets in the way. However, the obedience factor is what is required to be a true worshipper. To be a true worshipper encompasses examining and controlling our thoughts, as well as our deeds. The truth is that true worshippers of God are not born to worship, because we were born in sin and shapen in iniquity; however, as we become Christians we allow the Lord to make and shape us into a true worshipper but it must be an act of our will if it is to come to fruition. It is something in which we must purposefully and intentionally engraft ourselves into. Therefore, if our minds are not made up to become true worshippers of God we never will be. We will always have a form of Godliness but never have the true power of God because He won’t put His power into anything or anyone living a life of falsehood. With that said, let us who proclaim the name of Jesus become those who are genuine in our walk with Christ, as well as our fellow man because true worship is what the Lord requires.
God Bless You.
