The Fourth sign we see in the life of Nehemiah that is a characteristic of a mission minded leader is he believed in war and taught the people to war (Neh. 4:10-14). Saints of God we have to learn how to fight back. Nehemiah taught the people of God to fight for themselves, their families, as well as others. You see if we are really going to operate in a warlike spirit, we are going to have to get past trying to only get victory in our own lives and in our own homes and begin to try to get the victory in the lives of others. If we are ever going to do something for God which makes an impact on earth, we will eventually have to get the victory in our own lives over the devil, the flesh and the world, and put ourselves in a position to fight for someone else. The Christian life is all about war; it’s all about fighting back, and we have to learn how to fight back. The bible says “For though we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” (2nd Cor. 10:3-4). Thus, there comes a time when we must begin to demand that the devil give back all he has stolen from us in Jesus name. We must command the devil to give back our sons and daughters; give us back the wealth in our health; give us back our marriages; give us back our peace of mind; give us back our joy. We must begin to put demands on the devil through the blood of Jesus to give back what he has stolen from us. We can only do that as we begin to have a warlike mentality. This is not something that happens over night in our walk with Christ. However, it is a must if we are to have a real impact in our communities.
God Bless You
