(John 10:15) says “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay my life down for the sheep.
It was real love in the heart of Jesus which caused him to lay his life down for us. And real love is what is required of us if we are to lay our life down for the people we love. Real love challenges us to make sacrifices and do things for those who we say we love which we wouldn’t ordinarily do for others. Thus, it’s time to lay our life down for those whom we say we love. It’s time to lay down those issues that keep us from loving one another for real. It’s time to lay down the judgmental spirit; it’s time to lay down the fussing, fighting and the arguing; it’s time to lay down our own pride, our own thoughts and feelings, and pick up the mind of Christ. It’s time to lay down the past and all of its hurts and begin to walk in the newness of life which the Lord has for us. It’s time to lay down the confusion, misunderstandings, miscommunication, and let us begin to just talk to one another without attitudes and offense. It’s time to lay down what we want and let us begin to ask the Father what does he won’t to do in our relationship with others, as well as, in our marriages? What He wants to do is teach us how to lay our lives down for our wives, for our children, for our friends and associates. However, we must be willing to allow him to do that, because that’s the only way that real love will manifest itself in our lives.
God Bless You
