Finally, we can demonstrate to God that we are investing in our marriage by the way we Love one another (St. John 3:16) “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. You see when we love someone we tend to give our very best. We tend to give the best of our efforts to the marriage, the best of our energies, and the best of our time.
The Father proved his love for us by giving us his very best, which was His only son. Are we giving our very best when it comes to offering up a marriage that’s pleasing to God? If we really love one another, spending time with one another won’t be a problem. If we love one another divorce or giving up on the marriage won’t be a part of our vocabulary. In fact, we need to make some decisions about our marriage early and often. One of the decisions we need to make is that divorce is not an option because God hates divorce and for the Christian we should do everything we can concerning our marriage to please God. Thus, this should be the foundation that we start with when it comes to committing our lives to each other. Of course that foundation may change as the two of you grow in Christ Jesus, but giving up one another should never be taken lightly, and love should always be at the forefront of the marriage because love covers a multitude of sins. Therefore, saints if you haven’t sowed anything into your marriage account lately please consider ways in which you can do that; because good investing reaps major rewards.
God Bless You
