As Christians we need to learn to put a little money aside when things are good because if we keep living tough times will come. Thus, if you employed right now don’t spend everything you have put something away for a rainy day because rain falls in everyone’s life. We can take a lesson from the ants in (Prov. 6:7-8KJV) “Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.” Thus, the ant doesn’t wait until things get bad to save, the ant gathers while life is good because life sometimes presents us with lemons instead of lemonade. There are some who would say that times are so tough they can’t find a way to save but there is always a way. Maybe we bring our lunch to work instead of eating out, instead of going out to the movies maybe we stay home and rent a DVD and watch a movie and do some microwave popcorn. Thus, we need to find ways to be creative when it comes to saving money. In fact, if we are to save we can’t go and grab that money for anything, but it must be for an emergency. An emergency would be deemed to be something we didn’t expect to happen, or something beyond our control such as transmission on our car going out, not we needed to buy a new flat screen so we pulled it from the emergency fund. Saints of God, the Lord is in control and He is a healer, a way maker and all powerful, but He is also the one who has given us His word and if we follow it line upon line, precept upon precept we will find that He too expects us to save something so that everything in our lives doesn’t become a panic when it comes to dealing with money.
God Bless You
