2 A champion doesn’t fear a challenge but loves a good fight: (1 Sam. 17:32)
“And David said to Saul, Let know man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine”.
A champion isn’t afraid of a little adversity. A champion doesn’t run from a challenge. A champion isn’t afraid to take a punch because he knows that if he is knocked down he won’t stay down. A champion isn’t afraid to face the Goliath’s in their lives head on, because true champions know that when they go to a fight they don’t go alone because the battle is not theirs it is the Lord’s.
Thus, child of God you may have your own challenges to face; you may have your own Goliath’s that you have to get the victory over.
Maybe your Goliath is falling into that mentality that it’s okay to be average, but God has called us to be excellent.
Maybe your Goliath is learning how to finally handle your finances. Maybe your Goliath is telling that so called friend “I don’t do drugs, in fact I just say no to drugs”. Maybe your Goliath (husbands) is figuring out how to communicate with your wives without there being a shouting match; maybe your Goliath (wives) is figuring out how to submit to your husband’s so that peace might remain in the home. Young people, maybe your Goliath could be as simple as I just need to obey my parent’s when they tell me to do something, instead of always questioning why I have to do it.
We all have our Goliath’s to face whether we are Christian or not. However, I would rather face mine with God than without God.
God Bless You.
