A Little Sin In The Camp Can Destroy The Camp

(Matt 16:6) says then Jesus said unto them “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees”.

This word “leaven” in the scriptures, most often refers to sin. So when this word is used in scripture sin is often in the camp. What leaven or (yeast) is to bread, sin is to man?
When sin comes into a home, church, or nation, sin doesn’t only want to stay with one or two people, sin wants to take over, sin wants to rise up, sin wants to be like the yeast in bread and become the filler of that which causes all to rise. What we have to remember is that a little bit of sin will spoil a whole life. For even James said “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all”. Thus, we can’t decide that we will obey the parts of the bible we like but disregard the parts we don’t like because in the eyes of God it’s still sin.

Hence, without the power of God we can never cleanse ourselves of sin; we can never purify our hearts of sin. Revelation stops when sin comes in. In fact, the only things we will hear from God when we are operating in sin are repent and turn from our wicked ways. If we hear anything else it’s probably not God because the one thing God desires from us if he is to speak to us further is a heart that’s free of willful sin. Sin, when exposed must be removed immediately because its desire is to take over. Therefore when we find sin in our lives as Christians we need to cast it out, and get the victory ASAP.

God Bless You
