In the world in which we live in today, man (which includes woman as well) seems to think they know what’s right for their lives. They seem to think they have the majority, if not all of their lives figured out; somehow the thought is “I know what’s best for my life”. However, God is not impressed with our autonomy (independence); God understands that without Him we are headed down a dangerous path. He knows that we were not created to govern ourselves, because He told King Solomon in (Prov. 14:12-16:25) “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. Thus, without the Lord Jesus Christ leading our lives (for real) we could possibly believe we are headed in the right direction, when in fact, we are headed in the wrong direction. All of us have made this statement at one point and time in our lives “if I had the opportunity to do it all over again, I would have done it differently”; that’s because when we had the opportunity to do it right the first time, we didn’t ask God what He thought about it. We didn’t count up the cost of what we were really trying to do, thus, we wasted years of our lives trying to accomplish something that God was never in agreement with, and this is happened since we’ve been saved. In essence, man needs to see his life from God’s perspective. Listen, I don’t speak to you has one who has arrived, because I have tried to operate in a way which seems right (outside of the will God) only to find out later on that I was just wrong. Therefore, I have decided to follow the God who knows my down-sitting and my up-rising; the God who knows my thoughts before I think them; the God who knows the words that will come out of my mouth before I speak them; the God who is acquainted with all my ways. The God who created me and told me I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
God Bless You.
