To Them That Overcome-Part 4

(Rev. 12:11) “And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

The Christian has three elements at their disposal which they must use in order to overcome the enemy of their souls. The first element we have is the blood of the lamb. The blood of the lamb is the most important element we can have in order to defeat our enemy because there really is power in the blood, there is peace in the blood, there is healing and wholeness in the blood; there is deliverance in the blood, there is joy in the blood of Jesus, there is a place of refuge in the blood. In fact, without the blood of Jesus there is no salvation and we need salvation to enjoy all the other attributes the Lord has to offer.

Secondly, there is our testimony. Saints of God it’s always good to have a testimony in our heart concerning how God brought us out. How we would not have made it if it had not been for the Lord who was on our side. There are times when we are going through that we have to go back and re-visit what the Lord has done to keep us pressing toward the prize in our future because it gets rough sometime. Also, our testimony is good because there may be others who need to know how we made it over so they may be able to as well. Our testimony is required in order to win.

Finally, our lives can no longer be our own if we are to overcome the enemy of our souls. Thus, we must do something for God. We must begin to live our lives based on what God would have us to do in this life, based on what God thinks about how we are living. We must begin to let go of what we think, what we feel and what we want to do and begin to ask the Lord what you would have me to do. We can’t expect to overcome a spiritual force such as the devil doing it our way because he would beat us to a pulp. We could never have victory trying to defeat the strong man on our own; thus, we must all get to know the stronger man which is Jesus Christ the Lord.

God Bless You.
