In studying Romans 5, I have discovered at least five attributes of being justified through Christ Jesus. First we must define what justification is: it is God’s act of declaring and making a repentant person right with him. In other words, The Father and he alone through our repentance and the shed blood of Jesus Christ can declare us justified (or right before God) just as if we had never sinned. Thus, the first attribute the believer has is peace with God. (Rom 5:1) says “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ; and that’s good to know saints, because peace with God brings about the peace of God which passes all understanding. In the times we live in and the challenges we face, we must have peace with God. This peace is the peace which takes us from faith-to-faith; this peace is the peace which takes us through trial-after-trial; this peace is the peace which gives us calm in the midst of the storms of life. This peace is the peace which causes us not to fear whether we are in the valley of our lives or on the mountain top. Hence, this is not the peace which the world gives because anything the world gives us is subject to be taken away. However, the peace which God gives will take us from earth to everlasting. Be blessed and stay encouraged.
God Bless You.
