The second attribute we discover as a result of being justified is: access to God. (Rom 5:2) says “By whom we also have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” This access which we have to God is not like the access which the Old Testament saints had, where they had to go through the priest in order to hear from God or feel his presence. Because we are justified through the shed blood of Jesus Christ we (New Testament believer) are priest and kings unto God. Thus, if we want to feel God’s presence; if we want to be changed; if we want to talk to God in prayer, we have a direct line to him through Christ Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ ushers us into the presence of God. The veil of the temple which separated God from man and man from God has been ripped into, and those who are believers in Christ Jesus have access to the Father and all that the Father owns; which is everything. In fact, “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof” (Psalm 24:1). However, this is not to say you don’t need Godly leaders to lead you, because you do; however, you don’t have to wait on them to get into the presence of God as the (OT saints) did. Thank God for a better covenant.
God Bless You.
