In-between the Promise Spoken and the Promise Fulfilled

(Genesis 12:7) “And the Lord appeared unto Abram and said unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto he Lord, who appeared unto him.”

At the time this was spoken unto Abram it was just a promise, for it had not come to past as of yet, but Abram believed God and it was accounted unto him for righteousness. God promised Abram (Abraham) a son, an heir, someone that would come from his loins; he made him this promise of a son when he was only 75 years old. However, it didn’t come to past until Abraham was 100 years old. How many of us would have waited for 25 years for God to come through? How many of us would have believed God for the promise and not stagger at what God said, because in the book of Romans Paul said Abraham was fully persuaded that God was able to perform what He said.

Thus, the point is God has made us all some promises. His word is full of promises, but for many of us there are some specific things which we believe God has promised us; some things where we haven’t shared them with anyone or very few people at all. Well it’s very possible that the promise spoken may not come to past in our lives for 20 years, and if that’s the case are you willing to wait? Are you willing to believe God during the in between moments? Are you willing to do as Abraham did and just believe God is able to perform it, thus causing you to give God the glory for it not only when it’s promised but during the in between moments, when the promise may be still years off. Because saint’s of God it’s during the in-between moments when God is going to find out whether you believe the promise of God or not. Therefore, let me encourage you as David did me “Wait on the Lord and be of good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say on the Lord.” No matter how long it takes wait, believe and serve the master and the promise shall surely come.

God Bless You
