(1Tim 4:12) says “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity”.
The fourth trait of a Godly leader is he/she must be an example in spirit. To be an example in spirit is to be a leader or Christian who has the proper attitude. By proper attitude I mean are you someone who isn’t so easily offended when someone needs to talk to you about you? Or are you someone that’s easily offended? Are you someone that can receive constructive criticism and not lash out at the person who is genuinely sharing with you? To be an example in spirit is to be someone that’s stable, someone, as Apostle Paul says is steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord; it is someone who you can trust to be just as solid on Monday as they would be on Sunday. Thus, to be an example in spirit allows others to see the Holy Spirit operating through you. It allows the fruit of the Spirit to be evident in your life, but it all begins with each leader making up in their mind that they are going to have an attitude of righteousness.
God Bless You
