As spoken on yesterday we come to understand that fear is not of God, because he has not given us the spirit of fear. However, he has given us power, love and a sound mind. Those three elements are important when it comes to getting the victory over fear. Power is important because Christians have power over the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. In fact, (Isaiah 41:10 KJV) tells us “Fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with my right hand of righteousness saith the Lord. Thus, the expectation from heaven is that we will trust in the power of God when fear comes upon us. Saints of God it’s not that we won’t experience fear, because even as a Christian fear comes upon us all, however, we don’t want fear to grip us in such a way that we can’t hear from God and make the proper decisions when fear attempts to rise up.
The Lord also gave us love. Love is important in the midst of fear and the daily struggles of life because when we are going through hard times; when we are going through things that may cause us to fear it’s good to know that someone loves us. We know that God loves us but it’s also good to know that we have family, friends and church members that care for us as well. When we know that we are loved it causes us to continue to push and press our way through those things that would cause us to fear.
Finally, God has given us a sound mind. Thank the Lord that we are not crazy! Hence, in the midst of difficult situations God has given us a mind to make not only the right decisions when fear attempts to rise up in our lives, but he has also given us a mind to make the Godly decision. And if we are in our word he has given us 66 books of the bible to help us make that decision when fear comes upon us; because fear desires for you to make decisions based upon his leading, not the leading of the Spirit of God.
God Bless You
