Is Jesus In Your House-Part 2

(St. Mark 2:1) says “And again he (Jesus) entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.”

When Jesus is in the house regardless of what we think or how we feel or what we want He will always have the last word. You see saints even as it began to circulate throughout the community that Jesus was in the house, can the same be said for our own homes today. In other words, if Jesus is really in our lives and homes we won’t have to broadcast it; we won’t have to walk around with our bible in our hands, neither will we have to stand on a street corner and shout it out because people will be able to tell.

They’ll be able to tell in how we carry ourselves, in how we conduct our affairs, even in how our children carry themselves. Thus, the light of Jesus will be on display wherever we go. Hence, the question remains: Is Jesus in your house?

Is Jesus in your house is a very valid question because most of our problems originate at home. Most of the issues we have with the spouse or the sibling start at home and if you don’t add Jesus into the equation you could be headed down a very slippery path because the bible says that “A man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Meaning that those that are closest to you can sometimes be your worst enemy.

For it’s those that are closest to you who really know what it takes to light your fuse; it is those that are closest to you who knows exactly what to say and the fight is own. It is those who are closest to you whom you have put so much trust in that will break your heart, to the point of frustration. It is those that are closest to you that if the wrong thing is said you won’t speak for a week.

It is those that are closest to you who see you during your good, bad and in between times, and they know you aren’t all you say are because when it really gets tough at the house the light of Jesus has a propensity to become dim in your life. And for the Christian God is not pleased with that. Thus, the real community evangelism should start at home.

God Bless You
