Where Our Strength Resides-2

The second thing we must do if we are to be strong in the Lord is: we must check our Joy meter because Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that the “Joy of the Lord is our strength.” Thus, if you are running low on Joy you may want to refill your spiritual tank. If you are running low on joy it’s important to press your way into Christ for (Psalm 16:11) says “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence there is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Christ is in the business of delivering joy into the heart of man, but man has to want this joy. Christ is the only one who can proclaim that in his presence there is fullness of joy; thus, man can’t give you this joy; especially in the time of sorrow. Therefore, let us delight ourselves in him and he will give us the desires of our heart, and one of those desires should be unspeakable joy. Because with all the bad news we seem to get in America today, it’s good to know that we can still have joy in the midst of the storm.

God Bless You
