In Psalm 136 the writer praises God for what He has done, is doing and will do. Thus, there is a recurring theme that runs through the book that says “O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good for his mercy endureth forever.” And on this special day that we set aside to give thanks, let’s do just that. Let us give thanks today unto to Lord for His Love, grace and mercy that He has bestowed upon us.
Let us who know our God, give thanks for the opportunity to give and receive love from family and friends. Let us take out some time to share the love of God around the dinner table with family and friends. Let us thank God for our US military who give their lives on the battlefield all over the world so that we might have the right to celebrate this day so freely.
Finally, let us thank God for the family and friends that passed on to the other side, and who rest in the arms of the Lord. Let us thank God for having the opportunity to know them, love them, and to laugh with them. There are so many things to thank God for everyday, however, don’t let this day get away without saying thank you to the Lord for something; for the word of God says “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
God Bless You
