A Little Sin In The Camp Can Destroy The Camp

February 9, 2012

(Matt 16:6) says then Jesus said unto them “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees”.

This word “leaven” in the scriptures, most often refers to sin. So when this word is used in scripture sin is often in the camp. What leaven or (yeast) is to bread, sin is to man?

When sin comes into a home, church, or nation, sin doesn’t only want to stay with one or two people, sin wants to take over, sin wants to rise up, sin wants to be like the yeast in bread and become the filler of that which causes all to rise. What we have to remember is that a little bit of sin will spoil a whole life. For even (James 2:10) says “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all”. Thus, we can’t decide that we will obey the parts of the bible we like but disregard the parts we don’t like because in the eyes of God it’s still sin.

Hence, without the power of God we can never cleanse ourselves of sin; we can never purify our hearts of sin. Revelation stops when sin comes in. In fact, the only things we will hear from God when we are operating in sin are repent and turn from our wicked ways. If we hear anything else it’s probably not God because the one thing God desires from us if he is to speak to us further is a heart that’s free of willful sin. Sin, when exposed must be removed immediately because its desire is to take over. Therefore, when we find sin in our lives as Christians we need to cast it out, and get the victory ASAP.

Addicted to the Service of God

February 7, 2012

Those who are addicted to the service of God will be those who have the opportunity to see real change in their lives. Those who are addicted to the service of God will see their homes, churches, communities and even their cities turn from sin and death to the power of God.

The truth is that anything you are addicted to you can’t seem to get enough of and most of us have been addicted to mostly what Satan has presented us with. However, those that are addicted to the service of the Lord have the ability to be different; to think, speak and act differently. We have the ability to see our lives from a very different perspective.

This addiction to the service of the Lord was so impressive to the Apostle Paul that he told the Church at Corinth that where they lacked in their labor unto him the House of Stephanas stepped in and supplied the need (1 Cor. 16:15). Thus, their service to the man of God in that day had a major impact on that region through the power of giving and service to the Lord. And that’s what true believers ought to desire today in their own communities, is to make a major impact for God. However, it takes some people that have addicted themselves to the service of the Lord.

Emmanuel

February 3, 2012

This is the name which was spoken by prophecy through Isaiah concerning the birth of Jesus. Thus, the fulfilling of that prophecy came to pass in the Gospel’s. For (Matt 1:23) says “Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Hence, for the believer it’s good to know that God is with us. It’s good to know during these uncertain times that we have an advocate, or someone who has our best interest at heart. It is no doubt that God has our best interest at heart; it may not always be what we thought, however, it is always what’s best for us.

If we are operating in obedience to God he is with us. In fact, David said “when my father and mother forsake me then the Lord will take me up (Psalm 27:10);” meaning that the Lord will be there for us when no one else will. There may be someone out there today asking themselves is God really real? Will God ever come through for me? Is God with me? Child of God he is with you.

Don’t give up; don’t quit trusting him; wait on the Lord and be of good courage. About the time when you are on the verge of giving up and throwing in the towel, is right around the time that God shows up. At least that’s the way it seems; however, He was always there, but sometimes we allow our circumstances to become bigger than our God, which keeps us from being able to see and feel God in our lives. Continue to trust him saints, because he is always with us.

The Favor of God

February 1, 2012

To those men out there that are married, if you are looking to see whether or not you have favor with God, you need look no further than your wife. You see every-time we look at our wives we know we have the favor of God in our lives because (Prov. 18:22) says “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord”. It’s favor for a man to find his wife for life; it is favor for God to give a man his help meet; it is favor to have a wife to play with, stay with, pray with and lay with.

Thus brothers’ regardless of what state your marriage is in, it was God that gave you favor to find her and it is God who is able to fix your marriage and make it what it ought to be. Yes, marriage is work and if you put nothing into it you will surely get nothing out of it because nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

However, regardless of the challenges that come in a marriage, every-time we look at our wives we should be reminded of the favor that God has given us as men and as husbands. And if God has given us favor to find our help meet, He has also given us the power to keep her and make her into the wife and woman that God would have her to be. Let’s get to work, because in marriage there is never a day off.
