Continuing with the thought process of the mind of Christ as it pertains to (Phil. 4:8). The mind of Christ is one that is just and pure. Hence, it is required of all believers that we operate with a just and a pure heart. This means that we have to conform to the standard of doing what’s morally and spiritually right. We have to conform to the standard of righteousness as defined by God if we are ever going to have the mind of Christ.
Furthermore, doing what’s morally and spiritually right can’t only be done on the days that we feel up to doing it, but it also has to be done on the days we don’t feel like doing it; because it’s on the days that we don’t feel like doing the right thing and we do it anyway, that will demonstrate that we are on the road to having the mind of Christ.
Thus, thinking on those things that are pure and just as defined by God will lead to righteous actions because righteous thinking always leads to righteous living. Apostle Paul understood that the thoughts in a man’s head certainly influences the way he lives, so he told us to think on these things because they would eventually lead us to righteous living. Therefore, it’s imperative that we be renewed in the spirit of our mind if we are going to have the mind of Christ, and his mind thinks on things that are pure and just.
