Becoming spiritually minded is really wrapped up in one word and that’s love. (Matt 22:37-40KJV) says “And Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
When we stand before God it won’t matter how well we sung or how well we preached or even how well we danced before him. The only thing that will matter is how well we loved. In fact, did we love our fellowman so well that regardless of what he said to us or about us, or regardless of what he did to us, when all was said and done, could the person that wronged us walk away from the encounter believing that we loved them; because at the end of the day that’s what it will take in order to get to heaven.
Will our vertical relationship with God manifest itself in a way that our horizontal relationship with man is defined by how well we were able to love in the midst of difficult interactions…because God told us clearly that He is Love, and if his seed lives in us, then we must become love as well?
God Bless You
