(Gen 30:22) “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her and opened her womb”.
Here is the story of a young wife who desperately wanted to bear children with her husband but could not. As she patiently waited for God to deliver, she had to endure as she watched her sister Leah and her handmaid bear children. She even watched her own hand maiden bear children; however, she was yet barren. But in the fullness of time God remembered Rachel, opened her womb and allowed her to conceive one of the most powerful men in the scriptures by the name of Joseph.
I said all of that to say this, sometimes we can become jealous or even envious (Gen 30:1) as we watch others being blessed even as Rachel did during her time of barrenness. But if we live our lives in obedience to God; if we wait patiently on him and believe him for our own tailor made blessing God will come through for us.
He may not come through when we think He ought to, he may not even bless us the way we planned; however, when he does come through it’s better than what we could even ask or think. God understands our pain; he knows what challenges we face, but he also knows we must go through what we have to go through to learn what we have to learn. However, in our going through remember that God hadn’t forgotten about us and as one songwriter said “Your blessing, blessing is coming through”.
God Bless You
