The final characteristic which is identified in (Phil 2:8) as it pertains to the mind of Christ is: He was totally obedient. Jesus was obedient all the way to the cross or until the day He died. And if we are to hear the Lord say “well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord”, we too must be obedient until death or until the rapture, whichever comes first. You see we won’t get to heaven for any less than what Jesus did. Jesus had to obey the Father all the way to, and through the cross. If obedience is the price, then we must pay the price as well. Also, we must realize that obedience is the main currency in heaven. In other words, it causes God to move on your behalf. Obedience in God’s eyes must be total; there is no such thing as partial obedience; it’s either all or nothing, and that’s the thing I like about God, when it comes to obedience He leaves no grey area.
