Fathers We Need You Pt-3

July 24, 2013

In part-2 of this series I ended talking about we need for the prophet, the priest and the king to arise in our fathers. Let’s begin by speaking briefly on the prophet that God desires to arise in the father. The prophet is one who (Represents God to his family). It’s as if the father is saying “Family meet my God”, for if our children are going to experience the true characteristics of their heavenly father, they will experience that in their fathers. Thus, the father would not only represent God in word, but in deed as well.

Finally, as the prophet arises in the father, the father will be one who speaks life over the wife and the children in the home. He will be one who not only prays for his family but with his family. He will be one who provides the prophetic vision, instruction and guidance in the home. He will be one who is so sensitive to the flow of God for his family that he is already praying and talking to his family about things God is showing him now that could affect their future. Thus, the prophet in the father doesn’t spend lot of time praying about the here and now; he is trying to get ahead of the devil to see things that could happen in the future and prepare his family for those things that could come.

Father’s We Need You Pt-2

July 19, 2013

One of the last prophetic words that Malachi spoke was in (Malachi 4:5-6) where he said “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, and he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

To father is to turn our heart’s back to God and allow him to teach us how to be the prophet, the priest and the king of our homes, because before we can lead anybody else we must be able to lead our families. In other words, before we can teach, preach and pour into someone else’s life we need to be able to preach, teach and pour into the lives of those that God has ordained for us to cover and that would be our families…our wives and our children. God doesn’t want to smite the earth with the curse of Fatherlessness but when you look at the family, especially in the African American community you see so many delinquent father’s sometime you have to wonder…is there a curse being loosed upon the family? Let’s believe God that fathers will take their place on the wall of their homes and become the prophet, the priest and the king that God desires.

Father’s We Need You-Pt-1

July 16, 2013

One of the last prophetic words that Malachi spoke was in (Malachi 4:5-6) where he said “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, and he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

What a word to fathers! The Lord was trying to let us know that he needs fathers to be in their rightful place. He was trying to let us know that if we expect the hearts of the children to be turned back to the father, that the father must be first partaker in turning his heart back to the children. However, before he can really turn his heart back to his children and lead them effectively he must first turn his heart to the Father of all fathers which is the Lord Jesus Christ and repent for his failure to effectively lead and love his children the way God would have him to. Therefore, let me encourage fathers everywhere to turn your heart to God so he can teach you how to lead and love your children.

Tribulation

July 9, 2013

Tribulation is a part of heaven’s journey. No believer will make it to heaven without facing some trouble. The Apostle Paul said as much when he declared in (Act 14:22) “that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.” Thus, we will have to stir trouble in the face and eventually get victory over it through the power of the Holy Ghost. Sure, no one likes pain, no one is looking for trouble, however, trouble is a prerequisite for heaven bound saints. The good news is we don’t have to face it alone, for the psalmist declared “many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of the all.

Believe God For Your Future

July 1, 2013

If God has made you some promises concerning some things he has spoke into your life and you know it was God that said it, believe him that it will come to pass. Thus, don’t get in a hurry with God, be patient, “for faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it (1 Thess.5:24).” God hadn’t made a promise, according to his word, that he hadn’t fulfilled yet. Therefore, believe in what he promised because he knows the thoughts that he thinks of you, thoughts of peace and not evil, that he may give you an expected end…Only Believe.
