Six Characteristics of Building Wealth-2

August 22, 2013

The second thing we must do if we are to build wealth is we must be in agreement one with another. (Amos 3:3) says “Can two walk together, except they be agreed.” If you are married you must be in agreement about how you plan to handle your money, and if you are single and Christian you must get in agreement with God and with someone on earth that you allow to hold you accountable for your spending. For a single person that preferably would be someone that loves God but also someone you know has been successful in handling their own finances. Ultimately whether married or single, we all need to take whatever plan we have to God to see if he approves, because at the end of the day it’s what He thinks that matters. However, once the Lord approves it’s the husband and wife that have to agree to walk it out.

Six Characteristics to Wealth Building-Part 1

August 20, 2013

If we’re ever going to build wealth and actually retire one day there are at least six things we, as Christians must do. The first thing we must do is (we must acknowledge that we have a problem handling money properly). In Psalm 51, King David had to acknowledge that he was in sin before God could deliver him from sin and put him on a path to spiritual prosperity. Thus, we too must be willing to acknowledge that we don’t understand how to handle money properly and ask God to provide us with the guidance needed to build wealth because 90% of solving any problem is admitting that you have one. And saints you don’t need a PHD in finance to build wealth because winning with money is 80% behavior and 20% knowledge.

Fathers We Need You-Pt 5

The third attribute that God desires to activate in the father so that he may minister properly unto his children is the Kingly role. As the king in you arises you (Govern your family on behalf of God) and governing comes by way of love. Because the one thing we know about the way God governs us, is that he does it with love and the father in the home must govern with love at the forefront of every decision he makes. As king you are the protector, provider and the warrior of your home. You are the first line of defense when the enemy shows up at your house trying to take over. You are the one that must be willing to do what it takes to bring victory to your home and family. The king in you doesn’t send the family out to fight the battles of the home, he leads the family out to fight the battles and the family feels empowered when they know they have a father that has an innate nature to protect, provide and war on the family’s behalf in prayer, praise, fasting, and direction. Thus, fathers we need the king to arise in you.

Fathers We Need You-Part 4

The second spiritual component that the father needs to minister effectively to his children is the role of the priest. The priest would be one who (Represents the Family to God). It’s as if the father is saying to God “God meet my family”. To be the priest of our homes is to be one who prays and intercedes for the family. To be the priest of our home is to provide a way to salvation for your family. It is to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving for your children. For Psalm 127:3 says “Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Thus, thanking God for our children is just as important as praying for them. Therefore fathers, pray for your children, thank God for your children, get involved in the things that interest them, and talk to them frequently about their relationship with God, for it is your role as the priest of the home.
