The bible commands that a Husband should nourish and cherish his wife. And to nourish and cherish your wife is to cultivate; to hold dear; to bring up with care; to show affection. However, very often, husbands have a problem with showing affection. We have a problem with being delicate with our wives or handling the gift that God gave us with care. However, the expectation is that we do just that. Be affectionate, be loving, let’s nourish and cherish our wives with a smile, a kind word, a soft touch in the right place, an unexpected gift or a genuine apology when we are wrong. Anything we cherish becomes that which is most important to us, and for a Christian husband your wife ought to be at the top of the list right below the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ref. Eph. 5:29).
