Fear Defeated

March 25, 2014

(2nd Timothy 1:7) says “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.”

It’s not that Christians don’t experience fear because we do; however, we shouldn’t have fear at the level of where it becomes a part of who we are. Fear shouldn’t become our permanent address; in fact, we shouldn’t allow fear to visit our spiritual house for very long because it didn’t come from God, and anything God didn’t give me I don’t want it. At the end of the day, fear can prevent us from making the best use of the gifts that God gave us. We must face fear head on and put ourselves in a position to overcome it; and we overcome fear by the blood of the lamb and by the word of his power.

Manage Money Or It Will Manage You

March 17, 2014

(St. Luke 16:13) says “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon”.

Money has the power to take God’s place in your life. It can become your master. How can you tell if you are a slave to money? Do you think and worry about it frequently?  Do you give up doing what you should do or would like to do in order to make more money? Do you spend a great deal of your time caring for your possessions?  Is it hard for you to give?  Are you in debt? Money is a hard master and a deceptive one. Wealth promises power and control, but often it cannot deliver. Great fortunes can be made and lost, overnight, and no amount of money can provide health, happiness, or eternal life. How much better it is to let God be your Master. His servants have peace of mind and security, both now and forever. Not to mention, that God is the greatest money manager that world will ever know, for many wealth principles being taught in the earth today come straight from the word of God.

The Power Within

March 7, 2014

It’s been said that “what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies (or lives) within us.” And that’s certainly true for the Christian because what lives within us is the Holy Spirit, and certain matters in our lives may seem insurmountable but it’s such a tiny matter when it comes to the power of God. Therefore, let me encourage you to lean on the one that lives within you in all situations because He (The Holy Spirit) is more than enough to meet every challenge in our lives, even those things that seem insurmountable. Matthew 11:28 said it this way “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Find that rest within…in the person of the Holy Spirit.
