Redeeming the Time

April 28, 2014

(Eph.5:16) says “Redeeming the time because the days are Evil.”

The truth is that you can’t really redeem time because when time is gone you can never get that time back. So we hear people say quite often that “they need to get control of their time” but what they really mean is that they need to get control of themselves, their schedules and their priorities. Most people waste time because either they don’t prioritize, organize or have the discipline to execute what they believe to be priorities. Thus, time is in the wind and we find ourselves trying to control time when what we really need to do is control ourselves. Time is important, we only have a limited amount of it and we need to make it work for us in all things.

The Power Of A King

April 16, 2014

The Lord has declared Christians to be Kings and Priest’s and (Ecclesiastes 8:4) says “Where the word of a king is there is power: and who may say unto him, what are you doing? As Christians we have to begin to use the word that God has given us to speak into the lives of people because we have the power to change things. As the proverb tells us “death and life are in the power of the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. If you are in Christ and Christ is in you, there is power in your words, let’s begin to use that power to change the very atmosphere around us; let’s use that power to speak blessing over the lives of people; let’s use that power to speak life because people are in need of life and life more abundantly.

Everybody claiming to be Christians Just Aren’t

April 2, 2014

(Matt 7:13-14 KJV) says “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

I think the scriptures make it clear; the general nature of man is the nature of sin. Thus, if he/she desires to be changed they must move from being a natural man to a spiritual man. Spiritual man being defined as one who has a relationship with God to the degree that they obey God’s word, not simply when it’s convenient for them to obey but even when it hurts they obey because that’s what God requires. However, everybody that believes that they are heaven bound are lying to themselves because the scripture makes it clear that only a few truly walk that straight and narrow path, thus true Christianity calls for real sacrifice and commitment, and not many people are willing to pay the price. Before you automatically assume that you have made it be honest with yourself and with God about where you truly are, because it’s in the truth of God’s word where we really begin to see what we look like to God.
