(1 Cor. 9:26) “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:”
In this text Paul speaks of his Christian walk as one that’s dominated by running and fighting. However, in his Christian walk he doesn’t run and fight for the faith with uncertainty or ambiguity because he understands what he is fighting for. Hence, when the road gets tough Paul has the stamina to stay in the fight because he knows what he is fighting for. And this is where many Christians fail in their walk with Christ, when they don’t know what they are fighting for there is a propensity to quit when the way gets tough; there is a propensity to get out of the ring after a fight with the enemy and never return to battle. However, when you know what you’re fighting for, quitting is not an option! To give up on God is out of the picture! Christian leaders, family and friends can often encourage you to stay in the fight, they may even be able to provide you with some insight but ultimately whether you are going to remain in the chase; whether you plan to fight will be up to you…but you must know what and even who you’re fighting for.
God Bless You
